Just to say, thanks for the last edition of the above, which, as ever is an excellent read and which I always have learned something new from. I have sent off for the Vince Eager book which promises to be really interesting. I have a Billy Fury video (I think) where Vince gives the impression that Larry Parnes ruined his career, if I remember rightly.
I'm not turned on by the Ventures in the same way, I'm afraid, but I would like to read a Jet and Tony special, if it ever materialises.
I get the impression you have plenty to fill your day, nowadays, and I also notice you are involved with the Joe Meek Society (for the time being).
Thanks so much for all the pleasure you have given me (and all Shadsfaxers) over the years and, even though there won't be another edition, I'm sure your website will supplement things splendidly.
All the best in all your 'Ventures'!

Some smashing post Saturday gone, Shadsfax No.58 arrived.
A million thanks mate, kept me engrossed all weekend and still is pride of place in reading matter, and now I will miss it.
But I respect your decision to pull the plug so to speak.
Just wanted to say thank you, good luck with 'legend' and I hope to see you at Shadowmania.

Dear Tony, thank you very much for SHADSFAX Issue No. 58. I was so
surprised to read that it is the final edition! Sad news indeed, but I guess
you'll have your reasons after so many years of wonderful work for all your
readers.

Hope you are keeping well.
I thought I would drop you a line regarding the end of Shadsfax, basically echoing all the other comments I have read. Thanks so much for all the time and effort you put in to be able to come up with a consistently high quality mag, taking into account the long periods of group inactivity it was a triumph really. It is sad it ends but as they say about all good things! Reading between the lines I detect that perhaps you were a little peeved with lack of appreciation from group members? I also found the fact that you weren’t asked to see them during the tour a bit off, after all haven’t you given them years of free promotion?
