THE EVERGREENS
‘Feelings’
(CD) T22123
Released October 2009 (42 mins)
Feelings / Secrets of the Sea / I Skovens Dybe Stille Ro / Morgens Um Sieben / The Breeze and I / Yellow Bird / Cavatina / Dream a Little Dream of Me / Here There and Everywhere / The Windjammer / I Can’t Loving You / Isle of Capri / Singing in the Rain / Begin the Beguin.
This is the band’s third release with a nice selection of easy listening tunes. Feelings sets the mood then it’s Lennart Clerwall’s catchy Secrets of the Sea. The Danish folk tune I Skovens Dybe Stille Ro (The Peace and Silence of the Forest) is a beautiful ballad delicately handled by Mogens, a short pan pipe solo comes in halfway. Cavatina is yet another number that sounds great. John Rostill’s The Windjammer blends in nicely with this CD. Liked the bouncy arrangement on Isle of Capri. Begin the Beguin is played on acoustic throughout and brings this fine release to a close.
Mogens Franklin – lead guitar. Bent Ove Sorensen – rhythm guitar.
John Fuglsang – bass. Orla Andersen – keyboards. Erik Rosenbak – drums.
Danny Franklin- rhythm guitar on Cavatina.

Daily Star / Only Sixteen / Runaway / Daddy’s Home / Dancing In The Dark / Every BreathYou Take / A Teenager In Love / Lover’s Guitar / So Sad (To Watch Good Love Go Bad) / Black Stockings / Sea Cruise.
Continuing his ever popular backing track CDs comes No.8. As always there are demo and backing track versions superbly played by Roger. How does he get that sound?
Daily Star is a Lennart Clerwall composition and I think Roger is the first to record this.
Daddy’s Home is the Cliff Richard ballad of 1981. Dancing In The Dark and Every Breath You Take are The Shadows covers from 1986.
Back to 1959 with A Teenager In Love set to a lively arrangement. There are 2 backing track versions for So Sad - with and without harmony guitar.
Lover’s Guitar is a catchy tune first recorded by The Fentones. Black Stockings was originally done by The John Barry 7.
The CD spins out with a rocking Sea Cruise.
Guitars used on this release. Fender ‘57 Vintage Reissue Strat/ Alan Brason Telecaster/
Burns Marvin 40th Anniversary/Gibson J-185/DeArmond T400/Ibanez V300BS.
